Who We Are

The owners of Little Elm Residential Care Home, Steve and Gretchen Hook, have a breadth of combined 50 years of caring for others.

Their experience ranges from working with abused children in the foster care system, counseling Combat Veterans, caring for Alzheimer’s and Cardiovascular patients, providing Emergency Room Social Work, and caring for patients who reside in skilled nursing, behavioral, and mental health facilities, and more. They have a love for people which shines through during interactions with residents in their home. They view caring for others as not only serving people but God. Their ministry is in service to others as they feel led to offer the most compassionate care while providing dignity and respect to people needing their assistance. Steve and Gretchen are both experienced mental health therapists and offer their specialized services to not only the residents but family members as well, if needed. Steve is a licensed social worker who can assist with important paperwork and resources in the community. Gretchen is also a board-certified Chaplain who can offer Bible studies, prayer, and meet several other spiritual needs.
